I am Timothy Myers, the founder of Ascenda Music. Ascenda is a company focused on sourcing and publishing the best string and brass music I can find for all skill levels.

I believe there is a tremendous amount of excellent inspiring music that performers don’t know about because the composers and arrangers who created it don’t have the time or wherewithal to publish it. My mission is to find that music for you in beautiful, durable, and easy-to-read pages, whether printed or digital.

Ascenda’s highest values for the performer are legibility and usability. Every edition uses beautiful, easy-to-read fonts, spacing that is gentle on the eyes, and intelligent page layouts. Page turns are carefully planned, and everything is laid out in an uncrowded way.

In our printed editions, we use larger sizes of high-quality paper to increase readability. Furthermore, we will follow the highest standards of notation practice; for example, we will make every effort to show clear visibility of where the beats lie in a measure, particularly for rhythmically complex music, reducing the performer’s need to heavily mark up their part.

For registered users, if a part goes missing, a digital copy will be provided quickly at no charge. Printed parts will be replaced at a nominal cost.
